My Story
I’m IndiaHV, Harshit Verma—a game developer, producer, innovator, entrepreneur, and investor. As the Founder and CEO of Craft Production Group (CPG), I lead a tech, entertainment, and innovation company specializing in premium game development, architectural visualization, animation, VFX, and CGI. Since its inception in 2017, CPG has been pioneering the Indian gaming industry, carving out a reputation as a leading and well-known brand.
With nearly 8 years of experience, I have dedicated myself to advancing the gaming landscape while fostering new talent. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and guiding more than 500 students on the right path in their careers. I’ve also been honored to lecture and host workshops at various esteemed colleges, sharing my insights and passion for the industry.
But how did I get here? From an early age, I was always creative with art and scientific projects, constantly eager to learn and craft something new and innovative. My curiosity for technology was equally strong, and I quickly became immersed in computers. I learned basic HTML in 2nd grade by watching a few YouTube videos and built a simple webpage that linked all my favorite online games.
Gaming also played a significant role in shaping my path. I spent countless hours playing games like GTA: Vice City, VCOP, Mario, Bomberman, Tekken, Cricket, and Need for Speed. I even had a small arcade machine at home, along with a good computer, which further fueled my curiosity about how games were made. watching a few YouTube videos and built a simple webpage that linked all my favorite online games.
By the time I was around 15, I discovered my love for photography, videography, and editing. I started freelancing under the name HV Logography, capturing unique shots and working on small projects. Alongside this, I gained skills in coding, always expanding and combining different creative and technical disciplines to become more innovative. These experiences eventually led me to establish Craft Production Group in 2017.
Starting a game development studio in India was not easy, especially at a time when the country had no established gaming industry. It was challenging to break into an industry that was still in its infancy, with limited resources, infrastructure, and market demand. But I believed in the potential of gaming and was determined to build something new. Through persistence, innovation, and an unrelenting passion for the craft, I managed to overcome these challenges and establish Craft Production Group as a prominent game development studio.
I’m also proud to be one of the first in the Indian gaming industry to raise investments for a game called Life on Fire, which was a significant milestone in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Today, I’m working hard to establish the gaming market in India by spreading awareness about gaming and helping developers with resources, skills, and knowledge to make better games. I’m constantly innovating the technology and gaming ecosystem in India by making unbelievable games that push the limits of what’s possible.
Collaboration has been a cornerstone of my journey. Projects like Life on Fire, Bat and Brew Media, and Cobox Metaverse thrived because of the collaborative spirit and the contributions of talented teams. I believe that when diverse minds come together with a shared vision, something truly special can be created. I’ve always found joy in working alongside passionate individuals to bring these visions to life, knowing that our combined efforts make these projects as successful as they are.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to pushing boundaries, creating exceptional gaming experiences, and supporting the next generation of game developers. The journey has been challenging, but with each step forward, I’m excited for what the future holds—for both my team at Craft Production Group and the gaming industry in India.
